Where the proceeds go:
Since our launch BFA has established numerous community partnerships that have helped generate funds and support for our goals and initiatives coming in 2016
Surfs Up event, ( www.ripcurlsurfsup.com/ ) sponsored by Rip Curl Canada, is an annual surf camp that takes place in Tofino BC. The event brings together the children and families living with Autism to enjoy a 2-day free surf camp. This year we are contributing 48-$50.00 gas card sponsorship to 48 families from across BC and Alberta that are taking part in 2016’s camp.
BFA has also partnered up with MUSIC HEALS and/or www.MusicHeals.ca to sponsor the music therapy room in the new PAFC and/or www.PacificAutismFamilyCentre.com . This state of the art centre of excellence is under construction and aiming to be completed in August of 2016. The facility will provide resources for research, information, learning, assessment, treatment and support; building the capacity to address the lifespan needs of individuals with ASD across BC.
BFA sponsored the first season of Little Heroes Hockey Academy LHHA is a hockey league in Chilliwack for children 5-15 yrs old with learning disabilities.
In support of World Autism Awareness Month, BFA has released the new "Spark The Conversation" Tee. Any proceeds generated from sales of the tee will go directly towards funding the launch of the BFA Respite Night Program.
